Lake Macquarie Family History Group’s Genealogy Day, “The X Factor”

This community event explores the many dimensions of family history, including often overlooked perspectives, and offers valuable insights for both new and experienced researchers.

The program features three highly regarded speakers:

  • Judith Dunn OAM – Colonial Ladies – Lovely, Lively and Lamentably Loose and Unknown Women Pioneers
  • Christine Yeats – The Jessie Street National Women’s Library
  • Christine Hingerty – Decoding mtDNA

The $35 registration fee includes lunch and morning tea, and ample on-site parking is available. As numbers are limited, bookings close on Saturday 16 May.

I’d like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet today. I would also like to pay my respects to Elders past and present and future custodians and Elders of the nation.
