The Eraring Community Investment Fund is just one of the ways Origin plans to support the local community through its transition. The community investment fund has two separate funding rounds each year across three investment categories. There are:
1) Sponsorships up to $10,000 to support events and small projects that align to one or more of the investment fund priorities.
2) Grants of between $10,000 and $50,000 for community, environmental and economic development projects that lead to measurable outcomes within the Lake Macquarie Local Government Area (LGA).

3) Partnerships of up to $100,000 for large projects that may help address shared strategic goals or issues identified by the community and Origin, and/or that deliver long-term and sustainable social, environmental or economic value. There is a provision for multi-year projects.
