CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY FOR MUSWELLBROOK MEN'S SHED

Christmas has come early for Muswellbrook Men’s Shed with funding from the Albanese Government to continue to support the health and wellbeing of men in our community.

Muswellbrook Men’s Shed will receive $8,000 towards the installation of a dust extraction system that will address health and safety issues.

There are approximately 1,300 Men’s Sheds across Australia offering thousands of men of all ages a safe place to meet, socialise, connect, and engage in meaningful community work.

The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) will open applications for Round 27 of the NSDP on 15 January 2024.

Sheds will be able to submit general applications until 23 February 2024, and applications for defibrillators until 22 March 2024.

“These grants are going towards some fantastic projects that will enable Men’s Sheds around the country continue to provide a supportive place where men can focus on their health and wellbeing.

Quotes attributable to Dan Repacholi MP:

I’m so pleased Muswellbrook Men’s Shed has received funding in the latest Men’s Shed grant round from the Albanese Government.

“When I visited the shed earlier this year, the dust extraction system was the number one project on their wish list.

Men’s Sheds plays a valuable role in improving health and wellbeing but most importantly they play a part in countering the isolation which some men in our community experience.”
